Garmin GDL 30A Satellite Weather Data Receiver with XM Radio

For the first time, mariners can access real-time weather information for the United States directly on the GPSMAP 3010C or GPSMAP 3006C using the GDL 30A — no need for a separate PC interface. The Garmin GDL 30 black box receiver is completely waterproof and part of the new Garmin Marine Network, a plug-and-play system that puts GPS, weather, sonar, radar and other important data literally at a boater's fingertips.

United States weather information captured and processed by the GDL 30A and GA 31 pole-mount antenna is directly overlaid onto the 3010C and GPSMAP 3006C multifunction, color displays. Users can overlay individual or combined weather data screens, so they can see weather conditions at their current location or along a projected path. The GDL 30 and XM WX Satellite Weather service work to keep boaters continually informed of changing weather patterns, so they can make better-informed decisions and spend more time enjoying the water.

XM WX Satellite Weather is the same leading, analytical weather technology and data that is provided to television meteorologists across the United States.
