Not
Your Mother's Navigation Unit
This Garmin
nuvi isn't
just your basic GPS unit; its features go far
beyond simple navigation. You'll go green and save gas and money with
ecoRoute – it calculates the most fuel efficient route while
tracking how much fuel you're using. With other amazing tools like the
JPEG picture viewer, a world travel clock with time zones, a currency
converter, a measurement converter, a calculator and more, it'll put
other GPS units to shame. You can even download images from Garmin
Connect Photos and be directed right to them. Want to know about
traffic or construction delays before you hit them so you can avoid
them? This navigator works with lifetime traffic alerts or MSN Direct
(receiver not included). Always know exactly where you are or where the
nearest stops are with the "Where Am I?" emergency function. Just tap
the interface and you'll get your exact location, the closest address and
intersection and the nearest hospitals, police and fuel stations. The
nuvi also comes with a built-in anti-theft feature, the Garmin Lock. Be
sure to visit the free Garmin Garage to add custom voices and vehicles
to your device.

Q:
What is the difference between the nuvi 1200 and nuvi 1300 series?
A: The nuvi 1300 series has 4.3" diagonal screens, while the nuvi 1200
series' diagonal screens measure 3.5". Also, the higher-end nuvi 1300
models have added tools and features.
Q:
What models are available in the nuvi 1200 series?
A: The nuvi 1200 is the base model, and already is loaded with maps of
the lower 48 United States, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. The nuvi 1250
includes maps of Alaska and Canada on top of the base maps. The nuvi
1260T includes the same maps as the 1250 and tacks on Bluetooth for
hands-free calling and a lifetime traffic receiver in the box.
Q:
What models are available in the nuvi 1300 series?
A: The nuvi 1300 is the base model and includes maps of the lower 48
United States, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. The nuvi 1350 includes the base
maps plus Alaska and Canada as well as Lane Assist that directs drivers
to the lane they should be in before making a turn or getting off on an
exit. The nuvi 1350T includes a lifetime traffic receiver that the 1350
base model does not have. Step up to the nuvi 1370T for Bluetooth and
maps of Europe in addition to North America; upgrade to the nuvi 1390T
for Bluetooth technology and Junction View, which shows drivers
realistic highway signs. Both the nuvi 1370T and 1390T also include
lifetime traffic receivers.
Q:
What is the difference between the nuvi 1200 and nuvi 205?
A: To understand the differences between the current models and the new
1200 series, users can examine the nuvi 1200 and the nuvi 205. Though
both models have the same screen size, the nuvi 1200 is smaller and
more lightweight than the nuvi 205, making it easier to grab and go.
Also, the nuvi 1200 has text-to-speech (it verbally tells you street
names), while the nuvi 205 just gives basic voice prompts that don't
include street names. The nuvi 1200 also has a pedestrian mode for
walking directions and is compatible with new CityXplorer maps that
make it easier to navigate around cities.

On top of that, the nuvi 1390T has a pedestrian mode for walking
directions, lane assist with junction view that tells you which lane to
be in before a turn, and is compatible with new CityXplorer maps for
easy city navigation.

data with the nuvi's Public Navigation mode to make travel on foot in
cities easier via subways, trams, buses and more.
