Great system -- easy to use -- only regret is the POI is out of date -- significant # of restaurants have closed more than 3 years ago, but gas stations are current, and US maps are apparently up to date. Truly, love the system!

I first bought the Nuvi 200 and fell in love with the Garmin GPS units. Then they put the Nuvi 260 on sale and I just have to have it!! So I sold the Nuvi 200 to a friend at work and purchaced the Nuvi 260
I'm so satified. GARMIN'S are the BEST GPS units out there!!! Well not go wrong!! Get a GARMIN!!!

I have found the Garmin 260 to be an excellent choice. I like the voice giving the turn commands which some of the Novi s do not do. I have not had any problems at all with the unit so far.

We were given the Nuvi as a gift and love it. It is very user friendly. The auio of the street names is very beneficial, i know that is an upgrade feature from a lower model , I highly reccommend it. Some may think it is slow in recalculting a route if you miss a turn but realize this is not the top of the line model. It is very satisfactory for our use. It gathers sateliites quicly and never lost them. I have a handhled that has much less reception. I had to think hard to come up with a negative about this unit. The only thing I would have liked would be a better instruction manual. I have come to find many features by use and by the on screen help that maybe I could have benefited by reading about first. Love this unit and highly reccommend it.

I was looking to get my wife a gps for personnel and business use. She didn't need any of the bells and whistles, just a solid direction teller and that is what the Garmin nuvi 260 is. It speaks the road names before turns (unlike other entry units that just speak Turn Left or Turn Right in so many feet. It is very helpful finding the closest gas stations, restaurants, shopping etc as well as having a recalculating feature that either gets you back on the correct route or allows you to alter the course if you see somewhere you want to stop. Get this model if you want to spend a couple hundred bucks and what a great basic gps.

The product performs very well. I had been using a Magellan - the Garmin captures sats much faster, the instructions are clear [and no annoying bells], interesting 3D display and can run on internal batteries for hours - you can set it for walking! Very pleased.
