The makers of the Hertz NeverLost system have found themselves another winner: the Magellan RoadMate 860T. The basic design is the same as the Magellan RoadMate 800, but with added features such as live traffic and text-to-speech. Instead of saying "Turn right in 500 feet," the new RoadMate 860T will say "Turn right on Mulberry Lane," ensuring that you don't miss a step on the road. The RoadMate 860T at Tiger GPS also comes with a traffic receiver, letting you view live traffic conditions right on the screen. The multimedia capabilities have been given an upgrade as well, as the RoadMate 860T boasts a 20GB hard drive, with over 10GB of free space to store your MP3s and digital photos, as well as up to one million custom points-of-interest, in case the included six million weren't enough.

Q: What are the differences between the RoadMate 760, RoadMate 800 and RoadMate 860T?
A: The RoadMate 860T is the latest model in the RoadMate line. It combines all the features of the RoadMate 800 with the text-to-speech capabilities of the RoadMate 760. The RoadMate 860T also adds a real-time traffic receiver and more than double the user storage space on the hard disk. The RoadMate 860T has the same 3.5" diagonal screen and 3D maps of the RoadMate 800, as well as the MP3 Player and Photo Viewer functions.
Q: What is the difference between the RoadMate 860T and RoadMate 3000T?
A: The RoadMate 860T is the same shape and uses the same interface as previous RoadMate models; the RoadMate 3000T revamps the design to be ultra-portable and cost-effective. The RoadMate 860T has text-to-speech voice directions, a 20GB hard drive with unlockable Europe maps, and includes a traffic receiver. The RoadMate 3000T gives basic voice directions, has a 4.5GB hard drive (though the North America maps are the same) and requires you to purchase the traffic receiver as a separate accessory.
Q: Is there a monthly fee for using the RoadMate 860T?
A: GPS Navigation is always free of monthly charges. The live traffic, however, is a subscription service. When you activate it, you recieve the first 15 months for free. Afterwards, subscription costs will be roughly $5 per month.
