Not much to go wrong on this item. It has a lever that moves one way to create strong suction to the mounting surface, and the other for release. The only minor incovenience is that you must mount the Tom Tom first, and then open the "door" at the bottom of the Tom Tom to plug in the charger.

This means you must have the mount placed sufficiently high enough (maybe 6 inches) above the base of the wind shield to connect the charger. This is really not a problem, though I would have liked to be able to mount the Tom Tom to the holder before mounting the holder to the windshield.
